About Us
Lindsey and Joe Miller
Lindsey has owned and shown horses her entire life, deciding to form High Point Stables LLC in 2006. She remains active, showing on the open show circuits.
Lindsey completed her Bachelor's Degree at Spring Arbor University in Business Administration, to go along with her prior studies in Animal Science at Michigan State University. Lindsey enjoys riding and watching her kids ride and compete with their horses.
Joe grew up on a boarding facility in Portland, Michigan and knows what it takes to make a farm run smoothly. Joe enjoys maintaining the arenas, mending fences, and fixing things around the farm. Joe takes pride in producing high quality hay for the horses and keeping the farm beautiful.
Together we have raised 9 kids! We welcome those who cross our paths and strive to keep a safe and fun family atmosphere so everyone can enjoy our beautiful farm.
Laurel
Laurel has been teaching at High Point Stables for over a year and teaches our Monday evening group class. She has a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and is working towards a Master of Education in Literacy at the American College of Education.
On the farm, she particularly enjoys teaching new students and often gets to be part of our students first introduction to the horse world. Laurel got her start with horses by being a lesson mom herself, so she really thrives helping children and parents start on this new journey.
Laurel lives in Charlotte, MI and is a special education teacher for 4th-8th grades. She is a wife to Eric and mother to Addison. In the summer she loves spending her free time on her pontoon.
Jayla
Jayla teaches our Tuesday evening group class and offers private lessons by appointment. Growing up around horses, she developed a passion for teaching riders of all ages the value of good horsemanship.
Carmon
Carmon teaches lessons on Thursdays and is a lot of fun to ride with! Always a friendly smile and a ready-to-go attitude makes for a contagious good time in her riding lesson classes.
